Reducing Medication Problems
A recent study has shown that there were approximately
140,000 hospital admissions as a result of medication errors in Australia.
At Health Information Pharmacy we are committed to reducing this figure!
We do this through Chemconsult® - a medication intervention program that can detect allergies, interaction and wrong dosages. Our pharmacists are trained to use this program so that you can have peace of mind when taking your medication.
We have found approximately 1 in 6 consultations have detected an intervention of some sort, so we believe that this program is working.
Empowerment of People
We empower our team to consistently improve not only themselves but their work environment. Our team is consistently finding ways of doing things better that benefit their customers and their team mates.
This means that our customers also benefit by having the best information regarding their health available to them and are then able to make an informed choice about their medication.
Strengthening Our Community
Health Information Pharmacy is an integral part of life for thousands of Australians and we believe we have a responsibility to give back as much as we can to the communities we operate in and we understand the importance of having a strong community base.
As many Health Information Pharmacy stores are owned and operated by individual pharmacists, they play a strong role in our local communities. We are focused on becoming part of the local community mainly through supporting events and organisations in our local trading areas.
The contribution we enjoy most is working with others in the community to achieve worthwhile benefits for those who need it the most.
Helping the Less Fortunate
Through our charitable foundation, Health Information Pharmacy gives to those that are less fortunate.
The Health Information Pharmacy Foundation supports other charitable organisations that focus on the improvement of health for Australians.
We are currently supporting the National Heart Foundation and the Children’s Cancer Institute of Australia by donating a percentage of Platinum Care Club transactions to these charities.
