HIP opens flagship store in Melbourne
HIP has just opened its first Melbourne pharmacy in the Melbourne Central Shopping Centre in the CBD, on the corner of LaTrobe and Swanston Streets. The centre is unique in that it is built on top of Melbourne's main underground railway station and around an old 130 metre shot tower that has been preserved since the 1800s, which is encased by a 200 metre glass cone. Next to the tower is the world's largest Seiko pocketwatch - 11 metres in circumference with ornamental figurines and a 'time show' every hour.
The shopping centre is big - it has around 390 shops, 2 levels of railway station, and 33 million commuters travel through per annum. It is also right next to the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) - home to 55,000 tertiary students. Michael Glasson, HIP Business Development Manager in Victoria, says

Melbourne Central is the sixth HIP to open in Victoria.
