Shona Marino joins HIP as Franchise Manager Queensland
Shona Marino
Shona joined the HIP team recently as Franchise Manager for Queensland. In this role she is responsible for supporting all the group pharmacies in the state and working with them to build the HIP brand. She also works closely with each pharmacy owner and management team to run a regular SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis for the pharmacy and works with them to develop and implement an ongoing plan based on the findings.
Shona has worked in the pharmacy industry for thirteen years, in almost every role from pharmacy assistant to retail manager, as well as a short period working in car fleet sales for a large Queensland dealer group!
Shona explains why the role at HIP appealed to her:
“I had always wanted to move to a business development role in pharmacy, but I had been looking for a group where I agreed with the values and approach. The values of the Health Information Pharmacy group were a real draw card for me - a combination of old-fashioned values with a modern approach. The Chemconsult medication review system is a great example of the way the group has combined these two things to provide a real benefit to the customer.”
